Feed Mixing Triangle
For mixing a Grain & Protein Concentrate
to achieve a desired protein percentage
in feed rations.
Draw a rectangle, put the desired protein percentage you wish to achieve in the center.
Place grain protein % in the upper left hand corner.
In the upper right hand corner, write " Grain Parts".
Place the protein concentrate in % in the lower left hand corner.
In the lower right hand corner, Write "Protein Concentrate Parts".
Now, simply subtract the numbers diagonally through the center from
corner to corner. Ignore any negative integers signs.
upper left hand corner through center... place that number in the lower right hand corner.
Lower left hand corner through the center... place that number in the upper right hand corner.
The totaling results will be on the right hand side of the rectangle showing what parts of grain to mix with
what parts of higher protein ration to achieve the protein levels your desiring.
